  • The main objective of this project is increased job creation and lifelong learning through digital approach. The project aims at developing and piloting a solution that provides access to digital tools, the Internet and power to marginalized areas in the world. Access will be used primarily to facilitate learning and to create new jobs.
The solution must be environmentally friendly, have a high degree of scalability and have great economic potential. The solution will be developed in Norway and Kenya, and pilots test in Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. In the long run, the goal is that the solution should be suitable for use at large scale in many countries in Africa, and marginalized areas in other continents. The solution will also be used in war and conflict areas.
The expected contributions of the project include - Better access to the internet and energy for schools, health clinics and individual households in marginalized areas - Adaptation and use of digital tools and digital training - Young people and women acquire job-related skills, focusing on digital skills and entrepreneurship - Increased learning outcomes in schools - The concept is well suited in the context of crisis and conflict
